The 2017 annual general meeting (AGM) of our national organization, Democrats Abroad Germany, is taking place in Berlin from March 31 – April 2, 2017. In addition to being the single meeting each year where the entire membership gathers, this year we will elect a new executive committee.
Executive Committee Elections
The Executive Committee (Excom) is the leadership of DAG and is elected for a two-year term. The Excom includes several officer positions:
Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, DPCA Voting Representative (6-7 positions)
There are also six “at-large” project coordinators:
Events & Fundraising Coordinator, GOTV (Get Out The Vote) Coordinator, Chapter Development Coordinator, Communications Coordinator, Media Contact, Database & IT Coordinator.
Contact the Nominations and Elections Committee if you have any questions and to submit your candidate statement: DAG-Elections@democratsabroad.org
Applications must be received 17 days before the election, i.e. March 12. A candidate statement may be added, though, the earlier the better, as candidate statements will be sent out three weeks before the election.
> Homestays <
We try to making attending the AGM possible participants from all financial abilities, so the Berlin chapter is offering a limited number of homestays. You can request a homestay here:

PS RSVPing on Meetup or Facebook is NOT registration for the AGM 2017. You must sign-up through the linked registration forms.
Democrats Abroad Germany (DAG), the official arm of the Democrat Party for U.S. citizens living in Germany, is united in our support of environmental protections, policy grounded in scientific inquiry, women’s rights, LGBTQ equality, the fundamental reform of our criminal justice, immigration, and education systems, and universal access to health care, child care, and maternity leave – among other issues.
With 10 chapters accross Germany, as well as precinct groups in medium-sized cities which cooperate with our larger chapters, DAG’s Country Committee is the third largest DA committee in the world, and our leaders work hard to represent and connect DAG’s diverse and active members
